Thank you for the prompt answer to Incident: 081202-001996. The response has been posted and otherwise published to the team. However, despite declaring this issue resolved to the team, I have some serious problems with viewing it as closed.
Although you may have (and I just cannot tell) credited the team with the coins involved, there is still serious discrepancy in the contest for MVP within the team: SEVERAL (a dozen, I think) players who have scored more than 1,200,000 coins for each of three days are trailing me in that depiction. Each of them states that they have maxed the casino, maxed the non-casino, maxed search, and a couple have even done sell-a-friend. I did NOT score the max for search any of the three days, and did not tell-a-friend any of them. SO - how am I sitting in third position at this instant?
Further, if those reports are accurate, your adjustment was not sufficient in some respect or other: I believe still that I can account for more coins than the team total shows - if those reports from players are accurate. I am uncertain, and so do not yet make really loud noises, nor tell the team the extent of what I think is true; only that I am reconsidering and recalculating.
That is to give YOU time to reconsider, and recalculate. I am not the official spokesperson for the team, but I am the leading troublemaker. Thus, I would hope that you would indeed, reconsider and recalculate. And some transparency in the individual contributions to the team (beyond the single MVP) would help A LOT in determining not only whether there IS a problem, but in defining exactly WHERE that problem shows up; and even, perhaps, what exactly is the nature and cause of the problem.
**** Tell-A-Friend Added '081208-000234'
Our team is finding that the credit for "Tell-A-Friend" is capping at 1000, even though we believed that was to max at 3000 coins. If this is site-wide, we have not heard others complain. One fine example is our Irankin, who diligently supplies names to the extent that you will accept them, but never - NEVER - gets more than 1000 coins credit. If there is some hidden small print, I have missed it, as has he. Can you help us figure this out? Please?
**** Response From Ben_Team_IWON
This is not a response to either of the above issues, bur rather to the general inquiries posted to Ben's profile, most of the other Team_IWON profiles, and separately sent to a Vice President in greater length. It tells us little new, except that IWON will soon deal with the same issue that the team faces today. They must find Tigerladyjo, or somehow account for her absence, or determine how to distribute the money, if we have indeed won ($2000, I think) for November play. That determination will do much to shape the decisions we soon face, as December wends toward an end, and we decide either to stay, or to find a different team. If we decide to stay, the decision may even shape the structure of any successor team we decide we need to launch.
I am beginning to favor (scratchpad) a corporate entity as the team founder. In that fashion, we meet all legal tests as an entity to be treated as a person, while binding the team with articles of incorporation, charters, and bylaws, to establish a succession within the team should someone central leave for any reason; and to bind the team to the pre-determined use of any funds won. I have asked a couple of old-time associates of mine, to critique my thinking, before I go totally public with it; and provided them a print of the posted PDF rules as a guideline. At the same time, changes to the bylaws are possible with the "board" participating and endorsing the changes. so we are not unable to change should circumstances around us change.
Here is the text of the reply:
Hi. I'm responding to your note about your team challenge team leader. We're reviewing the results for November now, and will soon verify the winners. At that point we'll try to contact your team leader if your team is a winner.
If she responds to us then there's no problem. If we have trouble contacting her I'll have to speak to our lawyer about how to handle the prize. We'll do everything we can to see that the prize goes to the charity the team is playing for, but as I'm sure you know, legal issues can be complicated and don't always satisfy everyone. I'll review your team's postings again to see if I'm missing something, or let me know. Thanks
